History :     The College is established after a long wanted result of public endeavour of this zone in the year 1986 with 16 students only. This is a developing Co - education College offering two streams of  courses, B.A. (General & Honours) and B.Com. (General & Honours). In B.A. course Bengali, Nepali, Sociology, History & Geography Honours and in B.Com. course, Accountancy Honours are offered. Now we are in a fray for introducing of some new subjects with Honours.

Location :     The College is situated in Subhash Pally, in the northern side of Birpara Town adjacent to Dalgaon Range Office, a km. westward from Lankapara Road and 1/2 km. northern side of Dalgaon Railway Station. The College is surrounded by many tea gardens and cater the demand of higher education of the vast area of Central Dooars inhabitated mostly by the backward and downtrodden classes of our Society. The College is located in a calm and beautiful area with a glorious natural beauty in the backside.

Status :     This is a Government aided Degree College, affiliated to the University of North Bengal, enlisted under section 2(f) & 12(b) of the UGC Act, 1956.

Administration :     The College is run by the Governing Body duly constituted as per the Statute of North Bengal University. There are various Committees & Sub Committees and a Statutory Students’ Union to assist the College Authority for the smooth running of the College.

Development :     We are receiving UGC grants, State Govt. grants, district grants and public donations for building construction,equipments purchase and for books in the library.
