Information regarding Admission


ADMISSION TO THE PART -I & PART-II

(GENERAL & HONOURS  COURSE)
            Part - I Examinees are to get themselves provisionally admitted to the Part - II Courses and Part - II Examinees are to get themselves provisionally admitted to the Part - III Courses as and when notified by the College authority.


ENROLMENT OF CASUAL STUDENT
            Student failing in the Degree Examination are to enroll themselves as casual students in due time on payment of necessary fees.


1.Candidates seeking admission in B.A. and B. Com. Courses must pass H.S. or equivalent examinations.

2.Admission Form must be signed by father / legal guardian of the applicant.

3.a)Original copies of certificates must be produced at the time of admission. b)Original migration certificate is to be deposited at the time of admission.

4.Original School leaving certificate / character certificate is required to be deposited at the time of admission.

5.Registration certificate and Student Profile form must be filled at the time of admission; the application form must be signed by the student himself / herself.

6.For the scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Other Backward Classes & Physically disabled applicants, copies of Caste certificate and Proof certificate must be submitted along with the form, otherwise the applicant will be treated as General Candidate.

7.A Student must pass in atleast 4 (four) subjects in H.S. Examination (as per University Guideline) with English as a compulsory subject excluding Environmental Studies/ Environmental Science / Environmental Education.

8.Choice of elective political science, history and sociology shall be given on merit basis.

9.The name of a student will be struck off if he/she does not join the classes within 10 days from the commencement of class.

REGISTRATION

            After admission every student is to get herself registered with the University of North Bengal. Admission of a student migrating an Academic Board or University other than West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or the University of North Bengal remains provisional and as such is liable to cancellation if the migration certificate and other necessary documents are not submitted in due time or the University of North Bengal does not approve the migration.

 

COLLEGE EXAMINATION (FOR HONOURS GENERAL COURSE)

            The College holds periodical examinations to assess the academic progress of the students. They must appear at the following examination.
            A student unable to appear at the college examination shall justify his/her absence by producing valid documents, such as letter from her guardian and Medical Certificate. If the absence has been on medical ground, they may appear in supplementary examination after obtaining permission from the Teacher-in-charge for the consideration of her promotion.

 

ATTENDANCE
            The minimum requirements of students attendance in different classes as per the North Bengal University rules, is fixed at a minimum of 75% of the lectures delivered.  The student whose performance of attendance is poor and has a bad performance in the college examinations will not be sent up for the University examinations.
